An updated version of Joanne Fluke's Lake Eden Cookbook was just released to satisfy fans who have been requesting all of their favorite Hannah Swensen Mystery recipes in one book. The new version of the New York Times bestselling cookbook includes all of the recipes from the original 2012 cookbook PLUS title recipes from all of the Hannah Swensen Mysteries released since.

You can find title recipes from the first 29 books in the Hannah Swensen Mystery series (From Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder through Pink Lemonade Cake Murder) and additional recipes from the series. Joanne Fluke's Lake Eden Cookbook also includes recipes that have never been published before—they are debuting in this book.

The cookbook has many mouthwatering desserts, from cookies and bars to cakes and pies. Some particularly fun (and delectable) options include:

There are approximately 200 recipes in all. It is a really amazing collection. You can get an idea of some of the other recipes that might be included in the cookbook by looking at this Alphabetical Recipe List from Joanne Fluke's website. It includes a list of recipes in the Hannah Swensen Mysteries (along with a note showing which book the recipe appeared in and which character is associated with each recipe).

In addition to recipes, the cookbook includes several really neat extras, including a short story. The short story revolves around Delores Swensen's 4th Annual Christmas Cookie Exchange Luncheon, which is being catered by The Cookie Jar (Hannah Swensen and her business partner Lisa). The story is split into short vignettes (a page or two) between recipes and includes several of the best-loved characters from Lake Eden.

Photos of completed dishes are not included in this cookbook. However, there are original drawings that are really fun to look at and a gorgeous Lake Eden map drawn specifically for the cookbook by Hiro Kimura, the cover artist who draws all of the delicious desserts for the Hannah Swensen Mystery books.

The hardcover version of Joanne Fluke's Lake Eden Cookbook has a whopping 498 pages. It concludes with a helpful index that lists all of the recipes alphabetically by category. New recipes are marked with an asterisk so you can easily see what's new in this edition compared to the previous version of this book.

I absolutely love Joanne Fluke's Lake Eden Cookbook. It has earned a special spot on my bookshelf and will be pulled out every time I need to make something special for an event or holiday and every time I want to make a yummy treat to go with a new Hannah Swensen Mystery.
